Canada Day fishing fireworks! A trophy bass to celebrate

A Canada Day 2026 morning of canoe fishing results in the biggest largemouth bass I’ve landed in several years. This lake near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada has been a popular spot for many years and continues to produce good numbers of fish. Today’s tactics are familiar, spinnerbaits for finding fish, and worms/creature baits when we need to slow down and give them time to emerge from the dense cover and bite.
