Bob & Ray discuss what it means to have compassion while being a hunter and a fisherman on this episode of The Bass Hole Podcast,
Ray joins Bob as co-host for the first time to talk about why the compassion for our quarry, whether it’s deer or bass, grows as we get older and why some outdoorsmen lose their desire to hunt or fish when this happens.
Recently former bass pro Randy Blaukat caught a lot of flack on his channel for saying that after years of hunting deer, he no longer had the stomach for it. Bob and Ray come to his defense with their take on the subject even though they currently both still hunt. Believing nobody should be judged for how they feel about taking the life of an animal and understanding how their feelings have changed as they’ve grown older and are closer to their own mortality definitely made this a relatable topic for our hosts. Tune in to hear their take and drop a comment on how you feel about compassion in the outdoors.
