Today, I’m fishing at Lake McMaster, a legendary strip mine-turned-fishery in Western Illinois. With only one hour to fish before meeting up with friends, I had to make every cast count. This lake’s ultra-clear water made for some exciting sight-fishing, especially in the shallows where I spotted some big largemouth bass lurking!
