I put my bass fishing gear to the test when I catch big catfish in the Chatt Cats Challenge! I told him I wanted to use my low profile baitcast combo for today’s fishing challenge. After catching a few nice sized catfish to get warmed up, I hook into a big catfish that gives my bass fishing gear a run for its money. After finally landing the 17+ lb catfish, we continue fishing into the night. After the sun goes down I land another personal best catfish with Chatt Cats at 27 lbs! I had a great time catching big catfish and putting my bass fishing gear to the test in the Chatt Cats challenge.

Ahh i remember when i was crappie fishing and a 40lb flathead ate my crappie jig on a ultra light and 6lb fluorocarbon. I got to see its head and it broke off. Fought for 1 hour.

Some nice fish. I caught my pb flathead a few weeks ago night fishing. I was using a shaky head and made a cast out a bit deeper than I thought. Thought I got stuck on a tree so we trolling motors over to it and it started peeling drag. Caught it on a 6ft medium action rod that I made with 10lb braid to 6lb leader. The fish was 11lb 2oz. I was already sure it was the best but after that I'm only using bass pro's monofiliment. If you have a bass pro near by I recommend trying it. It's about 10-12 dollars for a 1500 yard spool , depending on what size you get.

That was awesome! The bass rig passed the test with that 17 pound blue, and good skill to land it on 12 pound test line. Congrats on your new PB, a 27 pound beast! Can you have a duplicate made of it for your wall?
