The buzz bait is one of the best baits to catch bigger than average bass. However, it seems like a lot of people in recent history have somewhat forgot about a buzzbait so lets break it down!

When it comes to buzzbait fishing, one of the best things that you can do to catch more bass is understand that the speed at which you bring your bait across the water can mean the difference between catching a lot of bass and catching a few bass.
When I am fishing in cold water I often try to creep a buzzbait across the top of the water as slow as possible, but during warm weather months, I often do the exact opposite and rip this bait across the surface.
Not only is speed important but there are also a few other tricks I do to catch bass which I mention in the video! Check it out!
I caught a four pounder bass on a top water frog and then I switched up a poper caught a 6 pounder
Great video Ty. ๐น I like simple with buzzbaits and especially a quad buzz blade in cooler water. You can creep it along. In warmer weather its a medium-fast retrieve. Always pack the follow up baits!!! Yes wacky worm!!!
Great info! Def need to try them out myself. I get stuck in using the same old baits
๐๐.. Man @ night the buzzbait is killer too!
Gott me few more Buzz baits. $5 a piece is a steal imo. Thanks for everything you teach. FAT FINN FRIENDS๐โ๐ป
Great tips Tyler. The idea of throwing a follow-up bait of the same color makes so much sense. I tried that today with a black senko to compliment my black buzztoad and it worked 2 out of 3 times I tried it. Thanks for the info.
Hold it out your car/truck window until it has a squeak to it Makes is a lot better.
All good tips. I just ordered several smaller 1/4 ounce buzzers in different colors, for a more finesse approach.
Great tips Tyler, thanks for sharing ๐ฃ๐
Your effort and pointers are always spot-on and I learn new techniques each time. I have missed many opportunities because I didn't have the wacky rig ready to go. I will not make that mistake again. Now, I am watching your other video. Keep them coming!
Buzz bait tied on giving it ago this weekend๐
I have caught quite a few bass on the old"lunker lure". But changing the subject a little, I fish the""Texas rig" with worms quite often. Back in the late 70's and 80's there was a color of worm called "motor oil" now that I am retired, and going fishing again, I can't find anything that resembles it???? Was one of the best colors for any water color !!!!!
Need a bounty fish update and specifics on how to work it
Good Stuff
awesome video. just got a couple of your shirts in mail..so freaking comfy. I love them. thanks bub
I can only remember one topwater fish ever, out of all the topwater baits that I've thrown. CO just sucks for bass IMO.
Bought a buzz bait a year ago, threw it twice, been sitting in the box ever since. I need to dust it off and give it another go.
After 25 years fishing buzzbaits and catching all my PBs on one over the years I think I'll stick to not ever burning a buzzbait lol. A slow as you can go to medium retrieve catches way more bass imo. And I do it with a straight skirted model no trailers, no soft plastics only. I do agree a slight change in retrieve can get them to strike when they are hesitant.
Info the buzzbait was designed in the 60s but didn't hit the bass scene till 1976 when it made production and in 1977 Rick Clunn win the first tournament ever won on a buzzbait.
What the hell man, I was at work when you posted this, hit the lake right after and was throwing a buzzbait and was nailing them, including a 33" pike – the universe man I tell ya.
What do you think about big rooster tail type inline spinners? I've caught bass on small ones and recently found a 1 oz size. I live near Lake Norman and I'm getting into bass fishin' from shore. I grew up in Florida catching saltwater fish so I have some learning to do. Figuring out what to use from the bank has been a challenge.
None of these tips will work. All BS. Don't waste your time. Jigs, soft plastics 20 to 1 over buzzers.
Buzz it baby!!
Is this a second channel?
Don't throw it guys they won't hit it!!!!
Also when fishing donโt forget to, pop that coochie
Have you used a Buzzbait that has a Frog hook instead of a single hook? I have a few Buzzbaits that have Frog hooks.
Great info Tyler. Love the fact that you are a color minimalist when it comes to lure selections.
My favorite top water! It crushes them!!!
Yes, I needed this type of video, reminder. I'm going to get my buzz baits out and Stat using. Thanks!
I donโt even own a buzzbait. I really need to get one or two and try it.
One extra tip: you can kill it in the middle of the retrieve. Always kill it at the end. I have caught enough that this is always in my retrieve. Bass will track it and at the end you just let it flutter down they are almost forced to eat it.
I always look forward to your content. Thanks again for all of the work you put into your videos.
Buzz bait and ribbit frogs all day right now at my local lake. Both fished the same way but buzz bait in open water ribbit in the pads.
Thanks Tyler
Awesome video!! Thanks for sharing those great tips!! I like using the buzzbait & caught some nice ones on it. I did pick up some helpful tips to be even being more successful, like having a rod ready after a blow up & the braided line. Stay Safe & God Bless!!!!
my favorite bait to throw
