For me, finesse mid-strolling baits (i.e.”Livescope Lures”) have blown away every single bait mentioned herein. Where I fish, the only lure on this list worth presenting is the oversized worm, but only when night fishing. The Dork Slapper runs $10 a pop and gets its ars handed to it by an elaztech minnow on a tungsten ball jig. I even downsize to heavy tunsten slotted beads (2 g) on special jig hooks that fit them (Gamakatsu Big River 90) with great results on light test. No FFS required … just an open mind. No tackle box required. Leave all the junk and snarled trebles at home and start fishing again.
