Overview – Crazy tough day of fishing. Heavy winds made it difficult to cast further than 20 yards… Props to everyone who toughed it out the entire day of fishing! You know it was a tough day when we had over 80 people fishing and only 4 people weighed in keepers!
Under ideal conditions, bass 6 lbs or bigger have been taken from these lakes, and I’ve caught plenty of bass in the 3 lb range fishing in the spring. But like in any tournament, you have to fish the conditions to the best of your ability, and a few people managed to entice a few strikes using either plastics or hardbaits.
My apologies for having the entry fees refunded and the prize structure removed… I’ll be sure to have all the necessary conditions met to hold subscriber tournaments in the future with awesome prizes! Thanks to all my subs who came out to participate, it was awesome meeting everyone 😀

In new jersey the law states he can't host a money based tournament, unless he gives the local government their cut of the revenue.

I never screw around with Game Wardens. Their jurisdiction is pretty wide. In Maine, they can pull you over and search your boat or make you open any compartment without a warrant. I was pulled over about 10 times last year. They always asked the same set of questions. It got annoying sometimes, but I have a healthy respect for them because they are concerned with registration (stolen boats), safety, illegally keeping fish (over fishing), and wild-life protection such as littering. So as annoying as it can be, I try to show them the utmost respect. A lot of people die on the water too, so they are usually just doing their job in all my run-ins with them.
