Hello, everyone! This was a fun trip! The weather lined up perfectly with the morning bite window. I had a rain storm coming in which had the fish super fired up. These are the conditions that you want to put on your rain gear and grab your big sticks & big baits. The fish were very active and they ate a large wake bait very well, so I just stuck with it until the rain caught up to me. After it started raining, the bite died and it was time to head back to the ramp. (By the way, that’s a pretty common thing – ideally, you want to be fishing pre-front). So, come along with me, as I head out onto the lake for a morning of swimbait-only fishing!
