How To

Brandon Belt Tournament on Cedar Creek and a bunch more.

The tournament starts tomorrow and although we’ve been getting some bites, the weather is gonna change. Plus, we have to talk about the fact that we are fishing for the same amount of money fort the most part as the Lanier event with a 1/4 of the entry fee. I also throw in some other stuff about the last few days.

MY PROFILE:

I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors.  I  have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!

  1. Love the sarcasm. I keep telling my women that I hope I never get over the thrill of, tricking some stupid pea brain fish into biting my goofy fake fish(or worm, or craw) lure. Cuz, when I come to the realization that all I'm doing is fooling a stupid animal into eating a fake worm, minnow or craw the thrill will be gone and I won't want to fish anymore. Then all I'll have left is tricking stupid people into doing stupid things that I want them to do. I like the fish better. Like your content and your presentation there of.

  2. I guess I’m an idiot. Really not sure. I don’t watch ANY fishing video to watch a guy cast. I watch to see the catch. Doesn’t matter to me if they’re casting blindfolded granny shot style. I want to see the hook sets and maybe learn a little about baits and thought process behind it.

  3. The people that are commenting all this nonsense are clearly not serious anglers.
Just go fishing however you want…have fun !!! I'm a Tournament angler in Ontario, and we have townships (because of KAREN) trying to ban Tournament fishing…..getting ridiculous…

  4. This channel has nothing but the truth and catching fish however we can. Some of these other ass clown channels just try to start arguments about FFS, or how you can't catch fish, or when you catch fish. All they want are arguments and whining to keep views and getting clicks. Keep it real Todd, we need more real fisherman who want to catch fish.

  5. People are ignorant. They are the dumb ones. Call them what they will. I just want to say that I am 38 and pride myself on being a trout, steelhead, and salmon fisherman from 8 until after living in montana and alaska and a few other places fishing and picked up bass. Finally got all my bass setups over 4 seasons of every week on the boat with my brother in law. Got 2 7lb largies where I live in NY last season that were not on beds couldn't see shit shallow but one could say. Landed 100 fish between the 2 of us for 2 days in a row. It was catch and release

  6. RB and his sheep should just start fishing with cane poles and a worm from June to Oct from the shore so they don’t create carbon from running a motor and of course they have to walk or ride a horse to the lake.

  7. Todd, you cant worry about the haters. The best part about getting those thumbs down from people on your videos, it still counts as interaction by the algorithym so a thumbs down is better than no interaction at all.

  8. I hate it when people say sight fishing is easy. I say it's the easiest thing to do hardest thing to master. I say that, meaning I can go find one right now that a 5 year old child can catch, but winning a tournament is totally different. That being said, yes, I would go to TX and get in a sight fishing derby. I might not win because it's not easy, but I know how to sight fish. The biggest challenge doing it out of town is getting in the right areas with the bigger fish.
