Hey Victor, I've really been enjoying your videos, and I have a question for you. If I have a relatively tip heavy rod, am I better off using a reel that is heavy enough to balance it out, or use a light reel and add weight to the butt?
I fish from the bank looking to get a 7.6 to 8 ft UL rod would you have any recommendations under 250$?
That is a beautiful rod, and you're right, it looks great with the Cardiff! Sorry about the delayed response. I had a really bad dialysis treatment yesterday, and I wasn't able to watch right away. Excellent video as always, Victor!
It neves cease to amaze me how firmly hooked those fish are and then when removing the jig it comes off so easily, those were good looking smallies my fellow angler friend.
Here for the sound of the drag and rant. 👍
Great channel love light tackle fishing
Smallmouth Bass
I love watching your videos and your fishing techniques. I am about to retire and would like to get back into fishing. looking for a 6’ UL rod to throw in my truck and fish for trout in small to medium streams using trout magnets and other twitching bates. I was wondering if have any reviews or recommendations for packable rods like the Diawa Presso pack rod or any other packable/travel rod?
That rod has a lot of backbone.😅
You can use a milk crate as a Landing net station. Similarly a Woodend box or square can be used. A milk crate isn't pretty but works.
Love your products! I got a couple packs of the 1.5 #8, I have managed to land a few 1.5lb bass on the #10 but also broke/bent a few hooks- I’m really looking forward to using them in the spring. The jigs are so good for multispecies but that bigger hook will do me good, I think
