The Touring Anglers Association is holding their first tournament on Lake Lanier at the beginning of April. They have 50+ anglers that include some big name professional bass fishing outdoor anglers. The tournament will not allow forward facing sonar, Live Scope and 350 Imaging which will allow weekend warrior anglers a chance to beat and compete against the professionals. And the TAA is putting all of the tournament entries back into the pool for the anglers, making it the biggest and largest pot bass fishing tournament to date.

This will be alot of fun to watch!
Now we can see true fishing talent shine, yes
Thanks for the heads up on this Steve 🤝🏼. Definitely gonna be fun to see how this goes and grows. I do hope that this takes off and becomes a permanent tournament of the future for people that like this style. I feel like any time we can have different types of fishing tournaments with names like the names we have in this one the better, and for the people that want to join in and try to make a name for themselves it's even another way to do that… And with them payouts that's another win IMO Steve 😊.
As a long time tournament walleye fisherman, think this a great idea. Don't stop short. Ban GPS also. Get back to when skill trumped spending money as a shortcut
This is great. Having non-FFS tournaments for the real pros. I’ll definitely be watching to make sure none of these guys are sight fishing in 2 ft of water for spawning female bass.
BASS better keep its fingers crossed . . . they had a chance to put an end to all of this nonsense for the 2024 season and they chose to puss-out instead.
Now the TAA is happening, and if it catches on BASS will have to do some serious damage control and fast.
I've seen this happen where I live, and unfortunately it usually doesn't end well for the original circuit.
Anglers don't have any 'loyalty', especially when the original circuit goes on cruise control and doesn't stay ahead and on top of things.
it's going to happen however it may be slow: IT"S NEEDED!! i mean seriously only FFS baits would be sold in the future.
Finally. Ban Gaydar!
Great idea just hoping the pros do more good than bad but I can see it taking off
I sooooo hope this type a format takes hold! Real tournament bass fishing needs to be saved!
Where’s Randy???
I like this idea, and I hope it does well. The one concern I have is that the locals will have a distinct advantage as I understand you are not allowed way points pre tournament.
Locals don't need way points to already have an established milk run.
It's always good to have a new bent on the tournament trails.
If they catch good numbers of fish, I can see thus growing.
Regards, Steven
Man sounds like an amazing Tournament and Holy Crap Lol I bet nobody will catch a single Fish since they aren’t using Livescope.!! I’m so stoked that they abandoned the Sonar and would Love to get in on that Tournament. Great shout out my friend..
We appreciate the shoutout. I am the host of The Livewell @FNGO and I appreciate you giving the tournament some love!!
Scopers have an asterisk next to every tournament win and big catch. It’s the same as keeping the guard rails up in bowling or training wheels on a bike or metal bats in MLB.
Ffs or not these guys know how to fish
I would love the video of the tournament!!
Would love to see the Guys who all broke 100 on Fork enter this tournament and see if they can really fish.
Solid idea. I wondered how they would get the boats, but if it has the big names mixed in like it does I could see this catching on and growing quick.
The Weather will play a big roll on 2nd and 3rd. Many will still have their heads down but just with 2D sonar drop shotting. Rain and high W to NW winds will make even Spotlock tough.
I'm curious as to how many of the "new generation FFS anglers" signed up for this tournament.
