Are the majority of large mouth caught on the lake or the river ?
Hey man I live in High Point NC and we have a big lake called Oak Hollow lake that you should come fish. The bass fishing has been really good recently

Oh wow, that was a beauty! BTW, for the life of me I cannot find a resource for water temps on Lake Hickory or Lookout Shoals, do you know of any? Do you know the temps now? Been wanting to get out there, but in a kayak not really wanting to chance a dunk in cold water. Although I've never flipped her yet (Lure 13.5), I don't want the first time to be in freezing cold water…lol. Thanks for your vids!

Some say they are on beds in Lake james but I have not seen it , pilled up in trees and heavy cover around 4 to 8 ft , this weather and water levels here has messed up everything ,yesterday was productive but the fish were like picking up the ribbon tail and moving it still having to finesse fish . several around 3lbs so I guess I need to shut-up Lol We are the first lake in the catawba river chain and we always seem hosed on water levels

Try putting a smaller hook on the front of the popper i think it helps. But nice fish an good job at high rock can be a tough lake.

Good deal bud, that lake has some giant LM in it. I use to fish it a lot back in the day. There use to be grass up in the river that was always fun to fish.
