Today I caught a BIG summer bass on a Texas Rig Worm! This is a true monster bass! The fishing lure of choice today is a Mann’s Jelly Worm. This soft plastic worm is great for a Texas rig. I am using a spinning combo and straight braid with a 2/0 ewg. While fishing in the light rain, I get my first bass and am happy with it. But then, it happens. I get a bite and end up catching a big summer bass! This thing is a true monster bass, it even missing an eye! Get out there and catch some of your own summer bass, hopefully you can get a monster like this.

I caught a 6 lb 8 0z Bass on a 12 in ? Manns Jelly Worm in 1983. Liberty Reservoir Baltimore MD. He had two eyes lol

that bass made me think of the movie True Grit: "Bold talk for a one-eyed fat bass!" It had an abrasion on it's side too – overall a rough looking fish!
Mann's Jelly Worms are an all-time classic bait. I still use them today, as well as the Mann's Stingray Grub. Hard to beat a 4 inch Jelly Worm on a highly pressured lake or pond.

I used to know Tom Mann personally. A really nice guy. Shopped his factory store many a time in Eufaula, AL. His worms hard to find these days, at least in my area. Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting them.

I use to fish the Mann's Augertails and Manipulators back in the late 80's. They had a great fruit smell as well…made you hungry in the late morning. Awesome fish…

That last 2 times out i fished for 3 hours each time (Fake MLF) i weighed all my bass just to see how many pounds i can get in 3 hrs .. day 1 10 pounds in 3 hrs Day 2 12 pounds 7 oz maybe do a realistic Fake MLF video

Awesome catch! As far as braid goes, I get this brand off Amazon, it’s 10-15 bucks for 327 yards though and I’ve yet to have a break or any issues. I actually just got some 6lb for my trout rods and 65lb for my pitching/flipping rod (I think I have 20lb on everything else).
