BIG Smallmouth Bass on Alabama Rigs – TOURNAMENT FINALE
This video covers day two of the two-day College Bass Tour Championship that took place up on the St. Mary’s River in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Stress levels were high throughout most of the day as the bite was slow and finicky until the last hour of the tournament. We went from roughly 16 pounds up to over 20 pounds with 30-45 minutes left in the tournament. The Smallmouth were chewing the A-Rig and I even caught a double (two fish in one cast).
This is a massive body of water that is known for its great Walleye fishing, but it also has great bass fishing to offer as well. This was my first time ever being on the St. Mary’s River, but I quickly realized what an amazing fishery it is as it somewhat flies under the radar when it comes to bass fishing. We ended up running over 120 miles again in the boat day two, and it was a super fun place to fish my last ever collegiate tournament! Hope you enjoy!!
