Bobby Lane is always in position to jack a big bass that bites his topwater frog. Are you? Rod position is key is being good at catching bass with a topwater frog or buzz toad. When you’re fishing in thick vegetation, it can be hard to get a good hookset, so you want to be in a good position to really drive that hook home, even through the slop. Fishing heavy cover is a good place to find bass. Lane is fishing in Florida in this video, but any lake with vegetation or grass is a good place for this bass fishing technique.

I live in Lakleand fl I never tried this style frog definitely going to try it in some local lakes.
It's weird they call these Ribbit-style lures "toads" when AFAIK, toads aren't aquatic. But Bobby called them frogs, anyway.
