Big Farm Pond Bass

Bass fishing video where I pond hop between two different farm ponds and catch some big fish! I started fishing in the larger of the two ponds for about an hour, but couldn’t catch anything. I saw some big fish in the water, but they were sitting on their beds because they just spawned.

I moved locations to the smaller pond and after a few casts I was ready to go back to the big pond. Suddenly, I heard a loud splash and decided I had to try and catch whatever it was I heard. It sounded like a big fish. I casted and moments later I set the hook into a big fish. It fought like crazy, to the point that it was swimming upside down. That bas did not want to be caught!
Needless to say, I was so excited to land that fish!

Next up, I decided to go back to the larger pond. I fished it from the other side. I saw lots of fish and movement in the water, but just like before I couldn’t get any to bite. I did see some chase my bait, but no luck. I tried all kinds of baits, everything from a texas rig, wacky worm, top water popper, swimbait, etc. Finally, I switched to a chatter bait. Still, no luck. I was about to get out and head back to work and running errands, but decided to throw one more cast to the other side of the bank I was fishing. I saw my bait moving just under the surface as I retrieved it back. It was about three feet away when I saw a BIG bass following it. I moved it around to try and cause a reaction… the fish took the chase and swallowed it right in front of me! I hooked it and it started to fight as hard as it could. The fish jumped almost two feet out of the water, pretty impressive since it was only in about a foot and a half of water. I pulled it in and weighed it. It was another 4lber!

I only catch two fish in this video, but both are over 4lbs!
