Big Bass Summer Beatdown

Surprisingly great day on American Lake since I didn’t start fishing until 1100hrs and only stayed until 1500hrs. The video kicks off with a couple of 5-pound smallmouth bass caught back-to-back. Then another nice smallmouth only to be followed with a couple nice largemouth bass.

The bass are following schools of yellow perch which are easy to find with my dual Lowrance Active Target 2XL units. All are caught on dropshot rigs using 6-pound test leader, #4 or #2 Gamakatsu G-Finesse dropshot hooks, wacky rigged Yamamoto 5″ Thin Senkos and Roboworms in MMII color. Using a 3/8-ounce QuickDrops dropshot weight is also a key component. Did you know I designed and manufacture QuickDrops?
