Big Bass in Thick Cattails: Afternoon Beatdown

Join Casey Ehlert with Bass Brawl Outdoors for an afternoon bass beatdown after a storm cools the water 10 degrees. With only 2.5 hours to fish, he hits shallow, thick cattails under overcast skies, starting with a half-ounce Grassmaster jig and plastic chunk on a Full Metal Jacket 7’3 Destroyer rod with 40-pound braid. Second cast lands a giant! When the jig won’t break through, he switches to a 1-ounce punch rig, then a Jamaica Boa buzzbait, swimming lures slow for reaction bites in 8-12 inches of green water.
