We couldn’t believe what happened recently whilst speed fishing with ultra-light tackle.
Suraj and I headed out to Hazelmere for a quick 3-hour session and managed to get 22 fish in total.
Midway into our session, I hooked a small bass using the Damiki 5inch Armor Shad and whilst fighting him we saw a huge swell trailing the fish seconds later this MONSTER engulfed the bass some odd 3mts away from us.
I screamed and immediately opened my bail arm in hope lol, the line stopped, we could only presume that he settled down to swallow the fish or I lost both….
Suraj reckon hit him, what happened next was absolute Mayhem….
Using a Finesse 5.6ft rod with a mini Ceymar 10 reel spooled with 3 strand 8lb boss braid and 5.5kg Fluro made this fight one to remember.
