I have lots of ponds around my place but I have no clue if there is any bass in them. Is there anything I could do to find out. I've fished it before but I didn't get bites.

Hey Rob, I was curious if you have any clue on what baits to use in northwestern Oregon because I can't catch a bass worth anything(largemouth). Over here it's mostly cold but can get into the 90s during summer and quite a bit of the ponds around where I am are pretty deep and clear for the most part

There are only 4 places to catch bass ( 2 lakes, 2 ponds) out of 6 places to fish where you can catch bass.
the closest Academy near me is 380 miles.

why no watermelon seed trick worm? and why not? it's extremely versatile. I always throw them when I fish ponds. plus it's a classic and you just can't beat the classics.
