What a rough time. I hate it when things don’t work out. Although, think of all the exercise you got running up and down the beach, lol.

Come for the spring run and catch absolute giants in the raritan bay, only 40 minutes north of where you are. It’s incredible, cast a plastic shad, or sp minnow and you’ll catch 40-50 stripers in 3 hours.
I suppose you could have brought your detector with to play with between the fish that you didn't catch.

I live in NJ, do well at Sandy Hook. It's the best fishing ever, when it's good. The two best days to fish are yesterday & tomorrow.
