What is the best aluminum bass boat for the money and who makes the best bass boat for the money? After years in fiberglass bass boats, I’m making the switch back to an aluminum bass boat. If you’re wondering are aluminum bass boats any good, I found the perfect fit for me. For $39k, you can get a 20′ bass boat with tons of storage, a 175 hp Yamaha SHO outboard motor and basic rigging that runs 60 mph and is made for rough water. Even loading it with options like I did, it’ll cost less than half of what a top of the line fiberglass boat costs these days.
In this video, pro bass fisherman Tom Redington covers why an Xpress H 20 bass boat is perfect for him. The Xpress H20 Bass is new for 2024/2025 and offers high end performance at a budget price.

I bought an H18 last year. I absolutely love it. The ride is amazing for an aluminum boat. I can imagine what the H20 ride is like.
I love love love my xpress Hd16db has a rod box that’s carpeted a nice front deck for flipping and enough storage for me with a 25 hp Yamaha bought it brand new 6 years ago and I’m never gonna sell it
No such thing as a boat worth the money they charge nowadays. My first bass boat was a 18 ft with a 90 horse Evinrude I gave 7,995 for and I was making 12 dollars per hour. A guy making 25- 35 dollars per hour now can only afford a twenty five thousand dollar boat or less and an aluminum boat with a 90 HP should be twenty grand or less.
i'll stick with my 2002 16.5ft xpress with a 2stroke 60merc that runs 43mph and its paid for
I would assume 39k = no power poles no electronics no trolling motor.. what else
Great video! I have to say, that I would definitely have to move that GPS puck to a different location. Seems to me it couldn't have been put in worse location unless mounted in the driver's seat.
Ha..
I bought a x19 in 2023 & absolutely love it..good luck with yours..
Need more of these for our buyers!
Nice rig Tom! Go git 'em!
