Beating the Storm Front! Kanawha River Bass Fishing

I only had a few hours before the next storm front moved in, but the Kanawha River still gave me some action! No giants this time, but several bass made the trip worthwhile.
Do you normally have better fishing before a storm, during changing conditions, or after the front passes?
