Beat the Heat and Catch Big Bass

Late June in Alabama and the Heat Index has been over 100. You can beat the heat by getting out early in the morning and in the afternoon and still catch bass offshore. At this point in the summer, these offshore schools of bass have seen thousands of lures and are becoming more and more difficult to catch. But you can still catch em! We start with a freeloader, dropshot, and Ethan’s little finesse spoon. If that doesn’t work, then we pick up the deep diving crankbait to see if we can get a reaction bite or at least get a few bass to move around a little bit.
