MY PROFILE:
I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors. I have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!
Ish missed the wrong week for the fantasy picks, would have done really well with his usual selection.
I went out with Jake Whitaker and Patrick Walters, Whitaker never left the bank and Walters was doing both. Watching these guys is a real treat, and hearing them explain what they're doing is even better. I thought I'd hate being with a scoper, but it was actually fun.
Watching pros scope 12lb bags, it’s sad. They should not even be fishing there, fish all dying from the heat.
The clouds showing up for the tournament really hurt the shallow bite. I think if it stayed hot and sunny like practice those shallow fish would have played a lot more.

I watched maybe 20 minutes of BASS on Smith lake total in two days. Not going to watch someone looking at a screen for hours. Own the other hand I watched MLF on the James river for several hours through out the final two days so much more entertaining. Let me be clear I am a much bigger fan of BASS and their format biggest 5 and I think the people running BASS are just better people. I am not sold on B. f. DUCKETT as some people call him. I think the people running the show need to really take a long look at what is going to keep people watching. Maybe I am wrong but I don't thank so.
Live scoping is BORING AND UNETHICAL!! Ruining the sport
On a two day tournament you can win without ffs. On a 4 day event, you can’t hardly beat ffs. I watched it beat you TV. And ole Tater is getting real real good with his. Better watch him next year.

That is my problem todd. Once I get dialed in on one bait its hard for me to put it down even when I know should.
Smith lake is pretty cool, beautiful lake with a ton of fish. It’s easy to bring my young son and he can fish a shaky head and catch them and I like the top water. Selfishly living in Birmingham I would love to see them fish the classic there when the weights would be a good bit bigger and the weights would be very similar. A big bass would change the dynamic instantly. And to your point, since it’s a shorter tournament, maybe a person could beat the bank and catch larger fish.

Nothing better than watching Kennedy hunt those wolf packs. Jesse Wiggins also sent in a really good video of a huge pack on the bank in front of his house.
