I have no problem with bed fishing but tournaments should ban it until we know that pulling the largest fish off of beds every year does not impact the health of a population.

How do you release large smallmouth like this after the tournament? Are they just released at the dock? What is the rate of attrition? Not PETA or anything. Just a curious fisherman not sure I would want to see a tournament near me if trophies were being pulled off beds unless they get back into the water alive.
