BASS JIG vs NED RIG – Hot Summer Bass Fishing Rigs That Catch Fish!

Today I am fishing a Bass Jig vs a Ned Rig! These are two hot summer bass fishing rigs that catch fish! If you aren’t getting any bites on Texas Rigs, or even a drop shot, then maybe try a jig or Ned rig. I start out fishing with the jig and catch one bass right away. I catch another bass a short time later, but it gets off the hook. It is more difficult to hook bass with a jig due to the brush guard. After I switch to the Ned rig, with the same craw trailer, I catch a big largemouth bass! Then I catch another smaller one. Try a jig or a ned rig if you cant get those hot summer bass to bite anything else. #fishing #bassfishing

  1. A bass jig with a Big TRD works great for me (best of both worlds). Weedless, heavy enough to cast with a baitcaster, and tantilizing bouyant tail up action.

  2. Thanks for sharing more rigs and techniques. You’re the best, Alex.
Glad to finally see that Ned rig deliver. It was about time after all those snags ☺️

  3. I am a big fan of small grubs on a Ned Rig. I have caught a lot of fish with that set up and I have lost a lot of rigs to snags (curses you exposed hooks). Regardless of the snags, it is a fun way to fish.

  4. We used to Jigs a lot in the simmer in a little deeper water along drop offs with a trailer don't remember what the trailer was we called them pig and jigs. Nice job switching up the bait and catching more fish!!

  5. I did like you I wanted to try a different kind of lure I had a little black oversized tadpole looking thing it had two fluorescent green little eyes it looked so cool going through the water abbass struck it immediately and tore it up and I lost the little green eyes I was so mad but they do like those artificial crawdads and things but you can only fool them a couple times great video i would've kept that big one

  6. This place is amazing for fishing, the fish is very reminiscent of what I catch here in Brazil.🎣🥰
Congratulations, you are an excellent fisherman!👍👏👏👏
    God be with you!
