I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.
Awesome Matt! I love the hover rig and I have been building up a small arsenal of soft plastics to use on your hover rig that I was lucky to get at a local shop here in Ontario as well as using the Hover hook you showed last year and I modified it with a nail weight and shrink wrap last season and it was awesome when the bite got super tough! So now I have 2 types of Hover rigs and a lot of soft plastic options for this month of June which is bass opening season the third Saturday for our natural chain lakes like you have and the 4th Saturday of June for Lake Simcoe which has monster smallies in gin clear water! Oh boy! I am so amped to go bass fishing finally!! Haha. Great video as I love hunting for smallies in rock shallow clear water!

As soon as you said Boulders and I seen Clearwater I figured hammering small amount. I live in Western Pennsylvania we don't have that kind of lakes in my area though. Man I watch all you guys with your nice points and rock flats and all this structure and then I go to my local lakes and put the side scan on and it's nothing but muck bottom with no feature and no structure barely any decent points on the lake. It is a very blah Lake. Of course it is only 3700 Acres but even if I drive within 2 hours other than Lake Erie all the other Lakes are pretty crappy. But we may do and catch fish. I really want to learn how to fish offshore but we're basically limited to beat in the bank no matter where we're at around here. Still love it still get out 3-5 times a week
