Give me some information on a blade bait Randy!!! I know that it will catch fish !! But damit I can't get bit on it
fluke? ;p
Or, like trout in the west, there are quadruple the number of fisherman and 1/3 the number of fish.
There. That's the reason.
Sales pitch!
The 6 inch ones on a weighted swim hook crushes then at night.
Where do U come up with this stuff randy lol
Fortunately up here in the northeast (ny/ct), the ribbed model knockoffs are still working quite effectively. But with the amount of fishing pressure that we have, it wouldn’t surprise me if there was a change eventually.
Alright man you stop using them I'll keep catching bass on them… I get you have an opinion but videos like this make me want to unsub from your channel.
Good grief Randy! According to this philosophy soon bass want be able to be caught on anything. Their brain is the size of a pea. They aren't smart enough to count ribs on a swimbait.
Guys if you read this. Stop using paddletail swimbaits! Leave 'em fish for me.
And bluegill quit eating tiny worm pieces on tiny hooks as soon as the bait hits the water after watching 10 fish in 2 minutes get hooked. Just kidding, bluegill are dumb fish unlike bass.
its wild because bass have been eating the same baits such as shad and bluegills for 100s of years and still eat them today. but these baits are for sure used buy a lot of anglers. but still going to produce.
Sounds like the failing memory of an aging man if you ask me…
Unless you have data, of course…
May have to eventually go back to swimming a curly tail grub!
They make good trailers at least. That being said, you're spot on with fish seeming to get wise to commonly used baits. My local lake is highly pressured and people get skunked there all the time. When people ask for advice on what to throw in that lake, my answer is typically anything the fish don't see all day everyday. Sometimes you need to get creative to catch anything.
I've caught more bass on a 2.8" Keitech than any other lure. The Easy Shiners work really well for me too, especially if it's sunny and/or calm.
I’ve never caught a bass on any swimbait. Ned rigs, senkos, Texas rigged creature baits, and top water is all I’ve ever caught them on. I’ve thrown swimbaits right in front of them and they don’t even glance at it.
I rarely don’t get a bite on them.
That keitech swim bait is as good as a stick of dynamite if you ask me. Love it's 💰
Don't know, but it a poor musician who blames his instrument, you gotta commit to it and have faith in what you're doing, maybe watch some videos, your definitely missing it.
That's ridiculous Just got a nice limit on that exact bait last week. Must be the operator.
I also use them just on weightless offset hook, working them slow, just like a dying bait fish, with some jerks occasionally. Works wonders.
Lol…this is such malarkey, guys have been fishing Mr. Twister grubs for what, half a century or so now and still hammering fish with them, but they somehow evolved over less than a decade to avoid these? Pure, unadulterated, grade A BS
This is where I unfollow. Every video you bring up old tactics, say how they’re falling apart, and then tell everyone how you had it before everyone else did. Just like the boat dock video, this one is heinous.
Ribbed swimbaits catch more fish than any other bait in my Arsenal
I went out last week and forgot I left the sonars in the garage after cleaning them up. It was 1/2 hour back to the house so I thought, the heck with it. Id been fishin the Potomac over 30 years and know how to safley navigate it. I caught a ton of post spawn bass and probably made more casts not looking at the sonar during the day.. Bob W
This hasn’t been my experience at all. Do bass hit them all the time? Of course not. But there are plenty of days that it is the most productive presentation by far. Especially as a search bait that you can cast far away from the boat.
I’ve been using 4” ayu patterns soaked in Tubelubes mad shad flavor an it’s flipped the number of bites for me. I also only fish it on the fall. If I don’t get bit I just do a medium speed retrieve, repeat
Good to see this, I tried a little one and a bigger one the other day and I could even SEE the bass, well some of them anyway and watched a couple chasing little bluegill but they had ZERO interest in either one of the ribbed swimbaits I was throwing in and around their area.
Interesting point about using baits that are popular with a lot of people. I wouldn't throw them away just yet though.
I've caught a bunch this year including big crappie on ribbed swimbaits.
You opened a can of worms on this topic…lol
I see there are folks here who want to give you fishing lessons ….lol
Hmmm… guess the fish I catch are way behind.
anyone agreeing with this nonsense doesn't understand the when where and how to fish a ribbed swimbait. Literally a renowned bait but yet senko in green pumpkin has been slamming them for decades? I agree fish learn and get smart but the idea is unless u fish a pond for the same 100 bass every year then there should be no fishing hole on the planet that a swimbait doesn't work in. Seems a little click baity and then poorly explained…
I've been using zakos and the zman ones that look like zakos. Great on catterbaits, jigs or weightless
Y’all missing the point!! He’s saying fish the other crappy swimbaits so he can use the Keitechs and catch more fish.
Just kidding Mr Blaukat. I appreciate your videos.
The smallmouth in northern mi must be late to the party. Also millelacs smallies still love em.
Oh look, megabass swimbaits are not ribbed .. ..coincidence? Hmmmm?
Me after catching them on nothing but ribbed swim baits 🤔🤔
Great piece of artwork. It’s is very reminiscent of Beth Ward-Donahue’s works of fully dressed Atlantic salmon flies. Bass haven’t heard the news on my lakes either.
Tbf I find when the bass get old of the keitechs, I swap over to the “older” swimbaits like the hollowbellys or full belly swimbaits like a trash fish. Or if I’m fishing in grass I use the skinny dippers/swim senkos/big ez. Changing things up always work
Two weeks ago you were showing us how to color those swimsuits so I went out and bought a bunch and colored them. Now you are saying basically they aren't any good now. I wasted my time and money.
Randy I will say this I’m in Baltimore Maryland and depending on how it’s rigged, is actually how many fish you’re going to catch on it and how it’s presented now before last year I used to use a jig heads or the storm 360 series with the BBs in a jig head and I would use that with a keitech and I would swim nano and 10 pound test and I couldn’t keep the fish off of it I would have to glue the top of the lure to the jig head because they would just rip it apart but the thing I love the most about the keitech‘s is that they’re made differently than strike king and a couple other than Narcos you can die in bleach other swim baits that are ribbed, but The keitech can’t be died if you put it inside of garlic chartreuse dip it will eat it it will literally melt it. But Randy you are right the ratio of hooking up for the last two years has not been what it was four years ago or even three years ago unless you have it as a trailer more than likely he only gonna catch three fish a day and a six hour. At least that’s how it is for me and I’m up here in Maryland Baltimore city I have liberty reservoir pretty boy Lock Raven and pony run, and I really believe mostly it’s the presentation and whether or not if that Fisher is going to commit …. Thanks for everything Randy and I love the last one with the electronics I really believe that if you take every electronics from every pro fisherman and just give him one basic how deep of water he’s in water temperature and just side imaging and down that’s it like a basic Larance or a basic hummingbird but not all of these electronics the live scope and all that active target I believe that’s cheating to me but now I loved your video on it just like I’m loving this one thanks for that info brother as always if I don’t comment or see you on the next one you have a happy Fourth of July Randy you and your family, I know the boys are going to get you I hope you got some decent bottle rockets 🚀 I wish you and your family a happy holiday and a safe one thank you for everything brother
The Keitech is different from all the copycats because they are the only ones that use two different plastic formulas.
The bottom half uses a salt infused plastic.
