We love going out with our silly bass fishing boys! Today, we rode around Kernersville Lake in a john boat and caught some largemouth bass using a couple of different fishing lures.
The boys had a blast! I’m also a little surprised that we didn’t catch a single bluegill, as there’s a fantastic bluegill population in this particular lake.
As a matter of fact, it’s the numerous bluegill that provide the food source necessary to support thriving populations of bass and catfish.
Speaking of which… I’ve been thinking about going back to Kernersville Lake to target catfish. Stay tuned for that…
The Rooster Tail inline spinner came through big time as we tested out laydowns all along the eastern shore of the lake. Surprisingly, we did not catch a single fish in deeper water… weird.
