  1. It took me a while to get bit too. Once I figured out a retrieve speed, I started getting it. Now I fish it with utmost confidence. I'm not set up for the 8' yet but can't wait to use it. I've even tried cutting weight off of one but it's still too heavy. I have no doubts about it being too big. (I want to weed out less than 3 fish) The weedless 6" has been getting crushed lately. I have to fix it up every night. I have 4 of them and am gonna order 2 68's tomorrow. Mike, Ca.

  2. @NWIbass Absolutely. You can throw the 6 inch on any conventional bass rod/reel. I've thrown it on my med/hvy Carrot Stix with no problems.
The 8 inch Hudd would break my medium/heavy carrot stix in one cast.

  3. Hey, nice informational video, you think I would be able to throw a 6" huddleston trout on my 8' EXTRA EXTRA heavy carrot stix gold stix rod? rated for 2-5oz lures, thanks!

  4. @gowolves4 You get better hook ups for sure. However the first time I used a stinger hook, I gill hooked a 5 and 1/2 pounder. When they eat these, they really suck them down. I don't want to kill any lunkers.

  5. I live in Jacksonville Florida and I am a lot like you in age, background, style of fishing and all. I just want to say that I really like your videos and your style. It's nice to see someone share their fishing experiences and wisdom with viewers. Keep up the good work and keep that line tight!
