I finally caught my first bass while fishing with an underspin and a Keitech Swimbait! Similar to a spinnerbait, an Underspin has a rotating blade below the body of the lure. It gives off a lot of vibration and flash in the water. In this case it looks like a couple of swimming shad which is one type of forage for bass. Bass fishing with an under spin can be tricky around weeds or anything else that can get caught in the blade. I am excited to get my first bass fishing an underspin. It paired up well with the Keitech Swimbait.

I agree with you 💯% so true also pick up fishing string and rusty hooks when I go pier fishing and the saddest thing is that there is trash cans right next to them when you are fishing in the pier
You said it man! Last week fishing my neighborhood pond I filled up a plastic shopping bag with trash as I casted a Booyah pond magic white spinnerbait around the pond. Caught 6 largemouth bass while filling up the bag with trash.

I have made a habit of carrying large black plastic bags in my truck to pickup trash at my favorite fishing spots,it makes very angry when I clean my fishing spot,then go back a week or two later and find trash.👹👹👹

I agree with you 100 percent…I live in Colorado and I have a favorite lake in my home town. I always carry a trash bag with me and I pick up after the local assholes who leave their trash behind…keep on keeping it realistic.

I agree with you 100%. I have a fishing pontoon at paid rental slip business. What I find most are Pizza Boxes Empty Beer Cans & Empty Plastic Bait Container. We pick them up, but I hate picking up the Empty Beer cans or bottles, because now I have the open container in my vehicle.
Tbh I kinda disagree with you about leaving dead fish in the lake and I think its totally different from leaving trash. I pick up and throw away trash but when someone leaves a fish carcass its nutrients are going back into the ecosystem. I don't keep fish myself and I if I did I wouldn't leave it in the lake but I see where someone is coming from.

As for underspins, I got my first ones this Xmas. Excited to try them out for the first time this spring.

Underspins are my confidence bait in the fall time
Just got back from my first fishing trip in 30 years. It was also my first time using a bait caster. Boy did I backlash and bird nest. Had to cut the line several times but I always made sure to ball it all up and shove it into my pocket. By the end of the trip I had dialed in my reel fairly well and gotten my casting under control and didn't leave a single strand of line anywhere but in the trash can. My mess, my responsibility to take care of it. Shad weren't running so I didn't get a single bite but I still had a good time.
Never encountered that kind of jig before, interesting indeed. That bass you caught looked silverish to me idk why. Is there a reason their tails turn red? It really is sad that people feel like they need to junk up a good fishing spot. We always carry our trash out and if we see any, we pick it up. Gotta be careful though, some people throw down drug bottles and bottles with foil and drain cleaner in them sometimes. Jolt rocks!

People are assholes thats why! They leave their trash and dead fish everywhere. They should be shot in the knees and skinned alive. I can’t wait to catch somebody leaving shit behind. The places I have been to are loaded with so much garbage it would take an army to clean it up.
I was bass fishing in the winter on the Susquehanna river Last winter and there was about 10-15 gutted and filleted catfish pitched right out in the river in front of me.
People generally suck and are lazy pigs — luckily there are folks in the world like you, me, and other anglers who catch and release and play trashman so parks we frequent stay as clean as we can keep them. Much respect for you man!!

I just watched a Tactical Bassin' video on the subject of underspins. If your underspin blade is too big for your swimbait it will roll over. Compared to what Matt was rigging up that underspin blade looks huge. With that being said nice first bass.
