I decided to do some fall bass fishing with a Strike King spinnerbait. The spinnerbait has been a confidence lure of mine for a long time. They can be VERY effective in the fall when bass are feeding on baitfish.

I love spinnerbaits so much, I don’t know when not to fish them. I just love the aggressiveness of the method vs. more finesse methods.
This year (2020) my goal is to catch a fish on a Spinnerbait. Never have caught a bass on one. Jigs and Texas Rigging is my confidence zone but this is my year that I wanna break out of that zone and catch some bass on the Spinnerbait.

That trailer hook can be your best friend out there! That's a big Crappie that can eat what the Big Boys eat. I once caught a big Crappie on a double bladed spinner bait, with trailer hook of course, that rascal was so big, (how big was he?), he was so big, he was caught on the main hook.
I actually never bought spinners but found one at a pond. Used it last week and actually caught a few off it. What’s your favorite bait to throw Debo? I know you use a lot of creature and swim baits. “That splashed all over my jewels 😂”
Debo I have a stupid question if I have a rod and it says printed on the rod jig and worm rod it 7 foot med/hev. My question Is can I use it for other things like crankbaits for example

I NEVER use trailer hooks and my hook up ratio is amazing, I might lose 1/10 on spinnerbaits honestly. I think the action of a trailer plastic give the fish something better to strike. Often times they will strike the blades when you don’t have a plastic trailer.

Hey Debo question when I see you fish I see you use spinner baits chatter baits ect. I try fishing those and never seem to get a hit or so much as a nibble. Most of the time water I am fishing is dark or kind of milky brown it is mainly large man made neighborhood ponds soft bottoms no rocks minimal vegetation on the edges. I usually get hookups on the worm or soft plastic craw weightless. What am I doing wrong and is it possible to use that spinner bait in water that is less than clear?
