Fall is the perfect time to go bass fishing with a squarebill crankbait! I’d say I matched the hatch pretty well because the bass couldn’t resist this lure! Awesome vid. I recommend unhooking them over the grass rather than rocks because if the fish it to drop on the ground (like 4:49) then it would do a lot less damage on the grass.

When I was younger I would catch numbers. I would be lucky to catch a bass over 2lbs once a month. Now I don't catch as many but I hardly catch any under 2lbs. I'm not sure which I like better. Catching a lot or only catching a few bigger ones.
How many times do you need to re-tie when catching bass in numbers like this? I'm sure frays and abrasions occur at some point.

Debo, I feel your pain. I went through a dry spell. I caught three last night. Took my five year old daughter out a couple times recently, got skunked one morning and had to grind for a couple hours just to get one. She was bored and didn’t want to reel it in by that point, but she wanted to hold it haha. I felt your pain from the jackhammer video though, I was getting skunked and breaking everything off and broke a rod that trip. But hey, dinks count too!

What an awesome day you had! I feel you with the struggle. I have only caught one fish this fall. I’m having a hard time locating them. Normally this is my best time of year but the Bass here in Wisconsin don’t seem to have moved in shallow to pin bait fish. I don’t have a boat so trying to find them deep isn’t really an option. What do you recommend for this type of struggle in the fall?

When i was a boy like 6 or 7 this older boy gave me a turtle i was carrying it one day it tried to bite me i had him by the back of the shell he turned hi head toward. Back of the shell where my hamd was if i did not have my hand under his shell he would have got me at pont i let him go and that was the end !!!!!!
