Tournament #5 turned out an unexpected 3rd place finish with 19.30 lbs for us beating the 4th place team (GOT GILLZ) by just one ounce. We spent the day covering water and catching them the way we like to catch them…shallow, in the grass, on jigs, frogs, and crank baits. We saw water temps of 64-68 degrees and caught fish in the dirty water almost all day long. I think we were catching a mixture of both pre and post spawn fish…hard to tell with the fluctuating water temperatures due to a ton of rain lately but let me know what you guys think.

Josh sent me an Instagram picture of a 9.33 lb giant he caught a couple of days ago – so talk about getting hyped for the trip. They said we’ll be flipping and frogging a bunch, so you guys already know how much fun we’re gonna have if that bite stays on.

What is the difference between a rod with eyes down or up I guess the way you hold it i noticed reels are almost always on the left hand side but you can’t switch them usually is that because your suppose to flip it over help me broski I’m a experienced rookie
Seen a huge stiper chasing bait at the spot I got the one In my pick it was probably about the side of one you got with your buddy out on the Potomac I think it was 30 35 lbs for sure I seen that monster head come up out the water and still half the better half under the water it was swirling water when they came by so I started throwing a striper looking lures had a rattle inside and dropped very fast but it made a ton of noise and I heard they feed on noise from eliasvfishing
I’ve been learning so damn much in the last two months since I got serious about fishing my wife is giving me hell every time I go you went fishing instead of sitting home waking for me to wake up waaa always get a message around 1130 am if I haven’t headed home yet where are you? Maybe I’ll just tell her I’m at the grocery store for now on and sneak the poles in later

you should come on out to central IL been puttin up 16-19 pounds every tournament off shore fishing it would be a fun weekend trip ive got a 17 ft 25hp boat we will be fish sangchris 25hp lake made for fishing its a great lake and lake springfield lots of docks and flippin with a offshore bite as well just let me know if your interested
