  1. wacky rigged senko's are the best bait I've used. I try alot of baits because I like experimenting, but I always come back to the senko. Gary Yamamoto makes the best senko's, the other imitations just don't work as well.

  2. I love fishing Senkos. I always use a small o-ring to save the worm so it doesn't get torn up, I can usually fish all day on 3 or 4 worms that way. I especially like the weightless option since it's so easy to skip, you can get it back under branches or docks and stuff. Nice video!

  3. from the looks of his shirt, hes only getting sponsored by ranger boats…he said he uses a senko, which is not a brand, more of a style…he didnt say yamamoto, he just said senko…and if he is getting sponsored, its because he knows what hes doing, so his tips would be valid either way…

  4. I watched this and some other bass fishing videos as part of a class requirement for writing a paper on something you know nothing about. So, I know nothing about this. But, I have to say that I am stunned and amazed that grown men make a living as professional bass fishermen. My god, is there anything we cannot take to its most illogical extreme? I fished as a boy and that innocent activity was just a line and a pole. This is just ridiculous. Sorry.

  5. Hey nasty thuggg try setting the hook sooner I had the same problem myself and someone told me to try that. I Tried that and got used to knowing when to set the hook and don't have the problem any more hope this helps!

  6. Here's a little secret to everyone. I've used all different sizes of senkos, on lots of different rods, reels, and lines as well. When you fish with a senko, you simply cannot fish wrong.

  7. go fucking cry about it. everyone who gets anywhere in fishing or any sport gets sponsored eventually. and guess what, either you promote them or they get rid of you so dont bitch and moan. if you can do better than make a video

  8. whoever listens to to this guy is a moron, he is obviously sponsored by these companies and is just product placing this guy doesnt know shit

  9. This is one of many techniques when using a plastic worm, lizard, etc. I would consider this type rig to be a reaction type bait and especially good for the smallies. Works great for pond fishing. When using plastics its all about the drop time, water depth and clarity. I have thrown a weightless worm and used as a top water lure for years. None of these rigs are new. They`ve been in action for many years. Just takes the "pros" a little longer to catch on…LOL

  10. 6" pumpkin senko w/ black and green fleks brought me about 5 bucketmouths in a span of about 15-20 minutes, a couple weeks ago. no stranger to texas rigging, but it was the first time i'd ever purchased a pack of senkos. sure glad i did. once a fish gets one of these in its mouth, it aint letting go. just wish they were either a little bit cheaper, or a little more durable. went through 2 senkos on the fish, and another three got tore up working them through the weeds. well worth it though

  11. i'd recommend trying it. i'm still not very good at identifying great holding spots for fish, or always getting the proper color choice. but, one thing i have had moderate success with is a texas rig. typically, i've used a zoom trick worm for this, and it's worked pretty well. however, i bought a pack of senkos a couple weeks ago and had one of my most productive days ever once i put them to use. just remember though, plastics are generally meant to be fished slow. painfully slow, sometimes.

  12. I've never used senkos.. Im not at that level of skill yet, not to the point that I can judge what the fish will bite and what they won't.

  13. yes they will. if your catching too many dinks, scale up the size of your senko. But just because the small ones bite the small senkos alot doesnt mean you can't catch big ones on them too. I caught an 8 lb spot (close to the lake record on my homelake) on a 3 inch senko a month ago.

  14. When you fish it, use a ML or M spinning rod and just throw it out, let it sink to the bottom, and let it sit for 10 seconds to a minute (depending on water temperature), then move it with a slow lift of your rod tip and let it glide back to the bottom again. If you feel a slight weight, just set the hook because you get lots of "pressure" bites this way (where you only feel the weight of the fish). If this doesn't work for you, then IDK how else to help you.

  15. you must be doing SOMETHING wrong. Ive caught fish on senkos just goofing off or showing other people how to fish them. if you use a small senko (3-4 inches) on a very light (3/32 or 1/16th oz weights are best) jighead/slider head (rigged texas style or like a normal darter head), color the tip of the tail chartreuse with dip'n'dye, and throw in a little bass feast smelly jelly, you cannot keep bass OFF your line if there is fish in the water. Also, use light line with this presentation.

  16. I've been fishing senkos for a couple years now and I still have no landed a bass on one. I've tried whacky rigging and your standard texas rig. I fish it slow, fast, etc. Never had a tap. I must be a rare exception when using this popular worm haha.
