  1. It didnt kill a ton of bass, but it did educate a ton of bass. Bass got caught and released and now there is a generation of educated lure shy bass swimming around and you have to really be clever to get bit. It'll cycle back around once people get bored with fishing again.

  2. Hi Randy, I'm glad you're talking about this and maybe after We figure that out Let's Please try and do something about these pontoons. Just kidding keep up the great content. Thanks!

  3. Randy you would love Bass fishing here in Nebraska. The population of bass in our lakes isn’t really high but it means almost all of our fish live shallow year round. Livescope doesn’t help much for bass here.

  4. Ever since tournament fishing has dropped off drastically in Western PA, our lakes and rivers had made a great comeback as far as size and numbers go. There are still some lakes that have weekly tournaments on them and still the fishing hasn’t been to bad on these waters lately but I believe it’s due to tournament participation being way down over the years. If they would schedule a major bass tournament back on the Ohio River in Pittsburgh and compare the catch rates from when the Bass Master Classic was held here I would think they would see a BIG difference in the weigh-in.

  5. Randy I like your video but you are gonna lose viewers if u don't start getting facts instead of just your opinion and viewers opinions. You are going to end up with a lot less viewers unless you start proving your argument other than you and others just saying this or that. Facts, data, the viewer comments and what you think just is not going to hold water without real proof, data, studies, ect,,.

  6. WHAT A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS YOUTUBE. REALLY INSPIRES THE YOUNG PEOPLE TODAY TO BE INVOLVED IN THE OUTDOOR LIFESTYLE. MORE BIDEN POLITICS FROM THE LIBERAL SIDE OF THE YOUTUBE. LETS CONTROL TECHNOLOGY AND REGULATE WHAT FISH TO CATCH, WHAT FISH TO EAT, REGULATE HOW TO FISH. ALL LAKES SILT IN AND AGE. HOW MANY LAKES HAVE BEEN BUILT IN THE LAST 10 YEARS. NONE OF THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY MISSOURI FISH SURVEYS. LOOK AT THE FACTS. SORRY YOU HAVE BUDDYS THAT LIE TO YOU.

  7. And likely more people are eating more caught fish than ever, because everything costs twice as much as it did a few years ago. I have met people that basically live on the lakes and eat fish because they can't make it any other way.

  8. Randy, the fisheries officers use electrofishing to determine the biomass of the fish in a water body. Studies have shown time & again that bass get used to seeing the same lures. You keep lamenting that the same jerkbait you have been throwing since the 70s "doesn't catch 'em like it use to." I bet if you went to your usual spot, at the usual time, and threw your usual lure, you would strike out. Then fire up your 360 or FFS, and see that the bass are still there, but they can learn… Now it's your turn. 🤔

  9. Are you smoking that Ozark wacky weed brother? The economy blows ass for most people out there. Gas prices still suck, grocery inflation, housing inflation, just general cost of living is through the roof with inflation outpacing people’s pay. They readjusted the inflation rate measurables a year and a half ago to hide how high inflation has come. And the pandemic killed many small businesses that will never recover because they were forced to close.

Love your fishing tutelage brother, but have to disagree on your economy statement my man

Totally agree with you on the fish problem – at least on “my” lake of Table Rock. It’s been a struggle for a couple of years now

  10. Thanks for certifying the actual scientific studies as BS. Can we now use the same logic you used to do that to call BS on the “eye witness” accounts that you receive from people in your echo chamber of bias? Your (lack of) reasoning, to the point of shooting down your own arguments, is entertaining indeed.

  11. Good video of your thoughts. I agree 2024 is going to be a telling year for the sport. I always keep a journal of my trips so I am going to keep good records of what you’re saying. I will go to my usual spots and see. I really believe you are right about numbers. Thanks for your input.

  12. As you have said before, I believe the selling of all the pristine land around the lakes and the subsequent development has played a major role in ruining lakes and killing off fish and other wildlife.

  13. I watch all your videos. The fake money in the economy is producing not realistic numbers. I have multiple businesses and see the crash coming in likely ten to twelve months. The smart people are saving their money. Be prepared. Tight lines!

  14. It seems there are too many communities on a lake allowing these different events. Maybe all tournaments should be scheduled thru one organization, especially on the larger lakes like Table Rock, etc. Maybe don't have any fish hauled into a tournament site? Just catch them and release them right there like on the MLF tournaments.

  15. The new league will not stop the other leagues from using ffs it will just increase the amount of tournaments. Pros always talk about growing the sport and make tons of content on tips and tricks on how to catch more fish and then complain because too many fish are being caught. The more people who fish the worse fishing will become because of pressure. I personally believe stopping any further advancement in tech is the only change that has a chance. Stocking programs bag limits and maybe slot limits may help but the tech is here to stay. The negativity in the sport is causing the most damage of all.
