I mountain bike Waterdog lake. One of the best trails around. Honestly, if you want to consistently catch bass, you either need to get to the Delta or Colusa. I know a bunch of spots. Lake Merced is tough fishing but if do catch one, it’s gonna be a 5+ lber.

Try to have floarcarbon Leader so the fish don’t see the braid. There smart and they will not know when you put flourcarbon on the end to your lure, try the modified Albright knot, its very good attaching braid to mono and flouracarbon, for the bait casting reel, have it short because the knot will break when you put it in your baitcasting reel but not for a spinning reel, it doesn’t matter for that.
I gotta go back there and check it out, I bet the water there is super warm compared to a lot of the bigger places
