Bass Fishing, Pond Prowler Maiden Voyage and Eclipse

In this 8 April excursion to Pettis County, MO, a nice lake was explored for several purposes. First was to see if the bass have moved onto the banks. No, the spring frenzy/bite hasn’t turned on yet but it is currently in progress. A Z-Man Finesse WormZ in PB&J and a Z-Man “Sling Blade” spinnerbait brought a dozen bass to hand.
Secondly, my friend Sparky brought his Pond Prowler for its maiden voyage. It performed well for the first time out and a lot of lessons were learned. Unfortunately, the milder, forecasted 11 mph winds turned into a very breezy afternoon with sustained winds of 25-30….not good for small watercraft.
All in all it was still an enjoyable day and the next time out will be even better.
