I picked up about five fish on a very hot day—about 109. The fishing was good, but I had some trouble with my PA 14 360xr drive. The steering gears slipped occasionally, which meant my steering handle was misaligned. The fix ended up being very easy. There is a thumbscrew adjustment you can turn that moves the gears closer or further apart. I had accidentally adjusted them to the furthest apart they could go. Once I figured that out, I re-adjusted them to mesh correctly, and the problem went away. I am working on two more videos I shot, one at Don Pedro and one at New Melones. I am in for a treat next time I come to New Melones – stay tuned for the video, and you will see what I mean.

if I understood you right , trouble with the knot at your bait. Try a Jimmy Houston knot. Takes a little practice but it's really strong. I really enjoy your videos as that's where I fish mostly too. Thanks
