Bass Fishing Lake Anna, Virginia: Pt I

www.waterwarriorfishing.com

Tina and I took a short vacation down to Lake Anna, Virginia which is about 2 hours from where we live in Maryland. I headed down at about 3 am on Wednesday morning and Tina joined me late that night. For the first day, it was just me and my goal was to figure the fish out so that when Tina joined me I would have some idea of what the fish were doing. The last time I had been to this lake was back in 2009, but surprisingly enough I remembered all of the spots that produced for me then. Unfortunately the fishing was very tough. I utilized a variety of techniques from cranks, jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits, to jigs, finesse, and shakey heads. These fish were tough as nails, but that’s what makes it a challenge! I hope you enjoy this footage as I learned and grew as a fisherman on an unfamiliar body of water. Be sure to LIKE AND SUB! Part II on the way!

  2. live in fred VA and when iwas about 11 or so i was with my grandfather and dad trying to beat a huge storm back home about 2 3 miles out when we hit a crabpot at full speed that tangled the prop and left us dead in the water. my dad had to jump in the water to clear the prop during a lightning storm. was some scary shit.

  3. How does your little Jon hold up to the pleasure boaters waves? I have a 1448 and I donโ€™t know if I would want to put it on there with the risk of possibly big waves

  5. Almost died on Kentucky Lake this summer, we were spearing waves with a 21' stratos, boat was full of water, lightning was everywhere, and a tornado touched down 3 miles away. We were headed back to the ramp when we spun a prop about a mile away and could only idle, storm then blew up out of no where. Lake Anna is a tough one, you should be glad you didn't get skunked!
