  1. Adapting to weather has been an area Iโ€™ve worked on for years. Through my mistakes Iโ€™ve learned a lot about how fish behave when weather changes our lakes and rivers. Iโ€™m hosting a class strictly dedicated to how you can adapt to weather for more successful fishing trips. These classes are live so Iโ€™ll be able to chat back and forth with you and answer your questions on the spot. Hereโ€™s the link to join if you feel like this is an area that you can improve in your fishing.

  2. Gotta say this perspective is not true the majority of the time. Getting a descent aluminum bass boat WAS 8-10 thousand bucks about 10 years ago. Comparing bass fishing cost to 10 or 15 years ago is flawed in and of itself. I assume that's the time period you're speaking of. It used to be cheap to start fishing and i understand where you are coming from. Buying a boat and lures is far more expensive than when you came up and when i came up. Im 32, things have changed in 10 years. This stuff aint cheap no more

  3. I expect prices on stuff to start coming down. Covid spiked prices way up, but a lot of the people who took up fishing as a pandemic pastime will go back to their old lives I think. This should make prices correct, hopefully.

If not, my kids won't get any college fund, they'll just get a couple hundred pounds of soft plastics each.

  4. Youโ€™re one of the true fisherman on YouTube. Not pushing a $100K boat and another $50k in equipment. Just your average everyday fisherman just enjoying fishing. Your videos with your kids are my favorites. I think I went fishing with my father once or twice and that was after I was a grown man and he huffed and puffed the whole time. Your kids will look back on these days and smile ear to ear showing their kids how to fish

  5. Thank you for this…
My best club tournament last year, I caught my bag on 1 bait (Rapala OG Slim). I did rotate through a few (spinner bait, shakey head, buzzbait, DD Crankbait, Rattle Trap, Carolina rig) before I figured out what the fish wanted. I fish as a co-angler. I out fished my boater fishing behind him that day. Probably caught 5 limits that day, crazy…๐Ÿบ๐ŸŽฃ
    Fishing with in my means…

  6. Man I'm a teacher by trade and that felling is exactly why I got into it. One of the reasons I love surf fishing at beach is all the kids that come up and ask you questions or want to touch the fish…..some parents too lol.

  7. "Man we caught 7"๐Ÿ˜‚ seriously my best day on the water since I got back into fishing was a 4 hour trip and I caught 8….they weren't even big but it was so much fun.

  8. Your not lying for real B.
I donโ€™t buy all the new fangled drop shot baits Iโ€™ve been recycling my used pieces of soft plastics and actually have out fished my boater from the back of the boat while heโ€™s live scoping.
    Great video Brother.
    Peace and God Bless

  9. I have an entire wire rack full of tackle ๐Ÿ˜‚ I basically buy in bulk when the sales are good. I know what I like to use and what I'm running low on. My son still likes to fish with live worms, so I'll grab that with whatever miscellaneous hooks or weights that I'm missing for a specific trip the day before. So, it's like $10 here and there. I have 4 storage totes of soft plastics and a ton of plano boxes for all my other baits. Once you know how you like to fish it's pretty easy to put together a budget for the year if you track your spending. Black Friday and Independence Day sales are usually the best times to do buy in bulk.

  10. I couldn't agree more man… I have really nice things now but I grew up with next to no money fishing the same kind of way you mentioned. I worked up to what I have now but at the end of the day if I lost my big boat and all my "fancy" stuff I can go back to paper maps an aluminum boat with a flasher graph and 1 rod and reel because that would get me back on the water and doing something I've loved to do since I was a kid. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

  11. You don't need to drop $$$ on rods/reels/bait. I went to lake Toho with a guide service. The weather was just too nasty to drag my boat to FL. Anyway, we used Academy brand (H2OX) rods and Penn Fierce IV spinning reels. Prob $100 on a good day. We friggin hammered them!!!! I know how much Brian hates Toho. But we had a pretty good day. Even caught a gar!

  12. Would love to see you do a video on the Zman willow vibe. Which weight and trailers you like. I bought a few packs and canโ€™t wait until it warms up a little in Georgia to get the kayak out and try them.
