  1. What a great video I really enjoyed it.Β
I have just started sea fishing, well 2 years in anyway and am stil learning where to go for them. I use feathers for the bass and it seems to work pretty well.

  2. hello ben, a blast from the past,(school days) nice vid buddy, i fish out of torquay on my 16ft mayland, not ventured your way yet but looks nice fishing. keep up the good work fellas and happy fishing. all the best. Tony Mortimore.

  3. Love the vid lads. I live on the coast near Newcastle and absolutely love coming down to Salcombe for my hols in the summer. We bring a rubber 3mtr boat and small outboard and fish more or less the same areas in your vid but don't catch much other than small pollock using light tackle mackerel lures. Your vid has opened my eyes as to what can be caught with the right bait etc:
Can't wait to come back down. Thanks for posting.

  4. hi ben great vid, for a few moments i wasnt sat there waiting to go to work on a miserable windy dark wet march UK morning, i was fishing in the sun catching some lovely scoolies on light gear BLISS! ar they carp rods your using buddy? what sort of lenth trace you bouncing thos sand eels with?…..Geoff

  5. Alaska 500 sport is a great boat…. Mine was slightly underpowered with a 50hp 4stroke suzuki… Would only do 21knts, with 2 anglers and heavy load of live bait, nets, gear etc etc… best with 70 / 75 hp….! Mine was a clean hull with no anti foul and in great condition… bomb proof boat…. would deffo recommend…! Thanks for your comments… Ben

  6. How do you rate the alaska sport 500? I'm in the S.Hams too, and looking at this size of boat for mostly inshore fishing.
I was fishing the same spot in a mate's boat a month ago-nice area.
Well done for adding the bit about the nursery area,
    Jon

  7. really nice vid, late reply but how long is your boat as me and my dad are buying a 12 footer with a 40 hp outboard on the back and this looked like a similar size. thanks

  8. Great vid, No need to land when shooting for eel, stay in the boat so much easier, shoot straight accross and drag it closed, knockes them out of the sand. can see you know your stuff great to see people doing what i have done since a child. professional filming and fishing. get on.

  9. hahahaha best fishing vid iv seen in a long time. yous are hilarious. what do you think of the alaska 500's myself and the dad are looking to get our 1st boat in the next year for fishing Donegal in Ireland but seas are nice and unpredictable. Iv heard they are a good boat if it gets a bit rough on you??? By the way you made me very jealous hauling in all those sand eels lol. Beats chasing them with a knife when the tide goes out πŸ˜€
