Bass fishing in early mid-March from a kayak.

Fished for a few hours in the morning and managed to catch two.

First fish was caught on a creature bait I created that is just twin curly tails attached to a ribbed body. The head with a swinging hook was made from a Do-it Poison Swingtail Model: PST-6-A.

Second fish was on a dropshot with a Size 1/0 Round Bend Worm Hook and a hand poured finesse worm in green pumpkin. Drag was too loose! This fish ended up being the fish I broke off on in the last video. The line broke 3-4 feet from the knot so I don’t believe it was damage from the previous fish catch. Something had just nicked he fluorocarbon way up the line.
I was able to remove the hook and the stick bait from the fish with no damage and no blood. I felt no pressure when the line broke and I think the fish just finished her meal. The method I came in through the gills and twisted the hook out of the gut. The hook in this case was not actually imbedded in any flesh.

Water Temp 43.3°F
