Australian Bass Fishing in some of the most beautiful rivers and scenery in NSW.
Hi guys, merry Xmas and happy new year. Today I headed out to explore a side river that I haven’t fished before. It was too shallow for the kayak so walked the river flicking surface frogs and chatter baits. Perfect way to spend the day in a cool shady river, the thermometer was reading 41 degrees by the time I left so it was a scorcher.

I usually walk this section and don't even bother taking the kayak if the river is under 1.4 metres. Have done the system from the top many times.
Theres an absolute belter that lives adjacent to the big pool where you fished for a while. Have had heaps of arguments regarding access. He doesn't worry me but his dogs do, so keep a look out.
Just remember Section 38 Fisheries Management Act 1994.
The main section of river you started on fished well a few weeks ago. We did a down river session to the bridge at the next town, about 12 kms.
If we get rain the little creek you were in fishes well but you have to go right up.
Nothing beats catching a beautiful fish in it’s matched surroundings! Yeah you could be outback in one of the stocked dam’s catching monsters and baking in the heat surrounded by rocky arid land! As far as I’m concerned One 30cm stream bass is worth 100 4+kg dam bass!
Another great video wonderful looking river. We need some rain down here as well. When we try and fish the rivers around here all we hear is no fishing private property bah bah bah. Sadly its become not worth the argument. I assume your in a national park?
