In their infinite wisdom, camera makers chose to make their products black. Nothing gets hotter than a black Go-pro in the sun. It would be a simple job to make a shade cover for the camera. It could be made out of nothing more than a 3" X 5" index card. Punch a hole for the camera mounting screw and fold over to shield the top of the camera. By the way…..still waiting for those fishing tips from the great Jonny Bonzo!
