Bass Fishing at Pelican Lake, Utah

We spent the morning at Pelican Lake, Utah in August. The lake didn’t disappoint when it came to bass and bluegill fishing with the favorite being bass. The biggest bass we caught was 3.5 pounds but there were a lot of 1-2 pounders. We focused on the middle of the lake because the water was fairly low. The water was clear and made catching the fish a lot of fun to watch. The most successful bait for bass was a wacky rig. The most successful bait for bluegill was the Mule Fishing Donkey Tail Jr. where literally every cast had a bite. The morning was fairly buggy but once the sun warmed it up, they went away. By noon, it was too hot to stay.
