Fishing for bass after a warmer than average rain in the late winter and early spring can be one of the best ways to find big bass and a huge limit of bass shallow early in the year. We’ve had some of our best late winter and early spring days fishing after a warm runoff, as it adds not only warmer water but color to the system causing big bass to push up into shallow water.

This often leads to newly flooded cover which makes a spinnerbait a perfect choice for this unique situation to catch big bass. Ott DeFoe shares a bunch of great tips and big fish catches on his first time out with the new Terminator P1 Pro Series Double Willow Spinnerbait fishing this scenario. A willow leaf spinnerbait is often his first choice in fishing these runoffs in shallow water with rock and wood cover.

Caught my first fish on a spinner bait while bass fishing in Hiawassee last week , just happened to be a 3' muskellunge.
Ott Defoe is the best bass fishing instructor of all time. I learn so much by his videos.
“Double Willa”
Yea I need to work on my boat but -9 deg says no
Ott you've always been one of my favorites. Great video.
I did well yesterday with a black and blue stick bait at Boone… I'm super happy he's making videos in East Tennessee. Thank you for the content bud!
Step one: buy a bass boat.
Can somebody answer this? Why many pros cast with the right hand and then switch to the left hand? I still don't get it
Here in Nebraska all we get is cold rain. Didn’t know you could have warm rain until I visited Florida.
That combo looks sickkk bruh 😝
I fish smith lake in Alabama, run ins are epic . I use jerk baits and flukes.
When he’s saying 55 degrees water is that surface an foot down
Hey, Ott! I love still using a double williow bladed spinnerbaits. I, Also use a White painted double williow bladed spinner bait just to change up every so often. Do you use a stinger hook on your spinnerbaits. Sometimes bass short strike the Spinnerbait too. If that happens. I will pick up the one with the stinger hook. Then Bam! Got another Biggin! Thanks, For the laid back Bass fishing videos. Your a great Teacher of how to Bass fish. The warm rain vs cold rain brings out those bass. Just started using a Chatterbait with a upside down split tail Fluke. Putting Garlic Spike It on the tail works wonders. Give it a try. They just won't let go of the bait. Good Luck in the Tournament's. Will be watching. Shawn.
My favorite fisherman. Need a Z , Ott , Andy, Hackney episode. Gold!
