On today’s episode of Fighting the Fish (FTF), we had the exhilarating opportunity to pre-fish an MLF Series bass tournament on the iconic Pool 8 of the Mississippi River, located in the beautiful La Crosse, Wisconsin. This was our maiden voyage on this remarkable body of water, and let me tell you, the fishing experience was absolutely phenomenal. Not only did we reel in an abundance of bass during our pre-fishing session, but we also had the chance to catch some sizable northern pike and sheepshead. To top it all off, I even spotted a giant water snake that almost gave me a heart attack!
However, when tournament day arrived, Mother Nature threw us a curveball. The fish patterns we had initially identified underwent a drastic change, affecting our performance in the competition. Despite this unforeseen challenge, the entire journey was nothing short of an incredible adventure. Pool 8 on the Mississippi River showcased its diverse aquatic ecosystem and stunning natural beauty, making it a trip we’ll never forget. Whether you’re an angler at heart or just an outdoor enthusiast, La Crosse’s segment of the Mississippi is a must-visit!
There aren't Water Moccasin's in Wisconsin! LMAO.
Dude you'd catch so much more bass if you stopped using a leader. It's not just a visual hindrance, but it doesn't allow baits to move/swim like they should. Yeah, you'll lose some to pesky pike, but that's part off the game. (tho losing Jackhammers and Vison 110's HURTS lol)
What up just thats just a northern water snake water moccasin don't venture this far north but looking forward to next video
