Thank you Ian, fish of a good stamp there, well worth the trip for those at this difficult time of the year. I agree with the fresh bait philosophy, especially if the bait is from the beach you're fishing. I always feel more confident if I'm using bait that the fish are expecting to find. Could be just a feeling but maybe there is something in it. Cheers.
Wessex rig . 6/0 -3/0 pennel on the running ledger with big squid or mackerel bait , 3/0 top snood with big worm bait . It can be deadly for that big bass in low , fast running surf 20 -30 yards out .
